Born out of Rolex’s desire to go to Space, the Rolex Daytona eventually lost out to Omega when NASA was looking for a watch for their astronauts. That’s why you’ll see “Cosmograph” on the dial of every Daytona. Potentially a blessing in disguise, the Daytona was repurposed to go racing instead and has been at the forefront of Motorsport for the last 50 years.
